A one-of-a-kind framed collage artwork featuring a vintage cookbook page and hand-cut crockery ephemera. Curious, composed, and quietly surreal.
What You’re Looking At:
Three pots. One strange menu. Endless questions.
This original piece centres on a page from an early 20th-century cookbook, complete with recipes for stewed heart of veal and dressed tripe. Layered over the page are cut-out vintage cutouts of crockery, hand-tinted in tones of blue and green. The pale blue mount and gold vintage frame give it all a respectable air, even if the contents are anything but.
Assembled in the Haus of Beige studio, it’s part domestic memory, part surreal still life.
