A one-of-a-kind framed artwork featuring a vintage playing card collage with bold colour, a fish, a seal, and just enough mystery to keep you guessing.

Or is Jazzy J a cryptic figure from some undersea alphabet conspiracy?

This one-of-a-kind piece is built around a vintage educational card, featuring a prominent “J” (which when writing this I realise looks like a shiny black hook, watch out Jill and Jasper). Surrounding it are carefully collaged cut-outs — one fish, one seal — characters in a story that’s never quite told. The hand-cut mount is wrapped in bold graphic print I picked up on my travels in Burton, framed in matt, Loving Green from Yes Colour for full maximalist effect.

Made in the Haus of Beige studio, this piece is bright, odd, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. One of one.
